'72, '73, '74 quirks(??)
I was wondering if either of these years had any year specific problems or parts(like '74 only split bumper, etc). Im looking mostly for things that might be pricey in the long run(like refinishing pitting-prone chrome bumpers or something). If you didn't see my other post, I'll be on the hunt for a 'vert in a couple months, and what to get set in my ways now, so I don't make sacrifices when buy time comes.

Daniel,
I'm sure you're aware of the obvious things regarding the 1974 Corvette - unique rear bumper cover, last year for true dual exhaust in a C3, last year for the 454 from the factory.
I believe that the front bumper arrangement used in 73 and 74 was redesigned for the rest of the model run. And the wiper washer motor is a one-year only item - a five-port pump thingy.
And, let's not forget the seat belt interlock system in 1974 and early 75 cars. Most likely any 74 you get today will have this disabled.
Cowl induction was available for 73 to 76 (I think) and there's just nothing like hearing 454 cubic inches of sucking sound from the top of the dash.
I say get a big block 74.
But I'm biased.
