Color discrepancy for an '88. Can anyone explain?

My coupe's window sticker says the color is a code 20U Light Blue Metallic, but when I look in the Black Book it does not show any Light Blue Metallic, it only shows a code 20 Medium Blue Metallic. Can anyone please explain this variance?

stupid question... does the vin number on your option list match the vin on the dash?

it is possible the console cover has been changed...

that would explain it.

In 84 amp; 85 Code 23 was medium blue and code 20 was light blue. In 1986 they changed the Medium Blue code from 23 to 20 and changed the color.

Light Blue (code 20) 84-85 only
Med Blue (code 23) 84-85 only
Med Blue (code 20) 86-89 only
Steel Blue (Code 25) - 1990-91 only
